Every Shopify order becomes a sales invoice in the sales journal you choose, with a line per product and the Shopify order number as reference. Your webshop sales sit in one place in Exact.

Customers as relations
The buyer is looked up in Exact as a relation by email or name, or created as a new relation. Business customers with a VAT number are recorded as a debtor relation with that number, ready for reverse charge.

VAT codes per line and OSS
Each line gets the right Exact VAT code for standard, reduced, 0% or reverse charge. If Shopify Markets sells to other EU countries, the destination country VAT code is used, so your OSS return in Exact lines up.

Refunds as credit notes
A refund in Shopify becomes a credit note on the same relation in the sales journal, for the amount actually refunded, so your receivables in Exact stay correct without correction entries.

Connect Shopify
You install Schakel on your Shopify store and grant access to orders and refunds. Schakel only reads what has already sold, your checkout stays untouched.

You authorise Schakel through Exact Online and pick the administration the invoices should land in. Your password is never asked for or stored.

Set journal, ledger and codes
You assign the sales journal, the revenue ledger account and the VAT codes, so the entries match how you or the accountant work in Exact today.

Check and let it run
You see the first entries in an overview before they are final. Once it looks right, new orders and refunds flow in by themselves and everything sits in the log.
