Frequently asked questions

Schakel builds connectors and automations. A connector joins two systems: connect your accounts once and Schakel then moves orders, inventory, shipments, returns or invoices between them. An automation needs only one system: you connect your sales channel and Schakel does the work that channel leaves to you, such as making invoices and sending review requests. Neither asks for manual work afterwards.

Pick your two systems on the homepage and click Request, or send us a message. We get in touch within 24 hours to schedule the build. Systems that are not in the list can simply be typed in.

That depends on your tier: hourly on free, every 15 minutes on Standard and in real time on Unlimited. You can start a sync by hand on any tier. What exactly crosses the link is stated on that connector’s page.

An account with both systems, each with API access. What exactly is needed is listed per connector under "What you need". We help you set it up.

If your connector runs as an app inside Shopify, you open it in your Shopify admin. For all other connectors you log in at app.schakel.app with your own Schakel account.

Every connector uses the same ladder of three tiers, from free to unlimited. What you pay depends on how many items cross the link each month and how fast you want to sync. Every data flow and Dutch support are always included. See the pricing page for the amounts.

Yes. There are no contracts or notice periods. You cancel whenever you like.

Certainly. Each connector has its own tier, so you pick per connector what fits. An extra account on a connector you already run (a second Bol.com account, say) costs 50% less.

Yes. Your credentials and API tokens are stored encrypted. We only process the data the connector needs and we comply with the GDPR.

When you remove a connector your data is deleted automatically. Our privacy policy covers this in detail.

Only what the connector needs to work. An accounting connector reads order data to create an invoice, nothing more.
