Review requests
A friendly request for a review, a week after shipping, once per order.
How was your order from Studio Vos?
Your order arrived. One click and your review is in.

On Bol.com, buyers choose between offers that otherwise look the same. Reviews tip the balance. And most happy customers never write one, simply because nobody asks.
Schakel asks for you. A week after the order first ships, one friendly mail goes to the buyer, through the relay address Bol.com supplies with the order.
One mail per order, with your address as the reply-to and an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Anyone who does not want a request will not get one.
What it does
- The mail goes through the Bol.com relay address, so you never see the buyer's real email address.
- Sent a set number of days after the order first ships. Seven days by default, and you set it yourself.
- One mail per order, even when it holds several items.
- Replies come to you: your address is the reply-to on the mail.
- Every mail carries an unsubscribe link. Anyone who opts out never gets a review request from you again, not even on a later order.
How to switch it on
Set your sender name and reply address
The buyer sees your shop name, and a reply lands in your own inbox.
Choose how many days to wait
Seven days after the first shipment by default. If your delivery takes longer, or you want to give the customer more time with the product, set it higher.
Turn review requests on
From then on every order that qualifies gets exactly one, at the right moment. Opt-outs, orders with a return or cancellation and orders shipped more than 30 days ago are skipped.
Also available
Every switch works on the same Bol.com connection. Turn on what you need and leave the rest off.
- VAT invoices An invoice for every order automatically, uploaded to Bol.com when a business buyer asks for one.
- Returns Approve small returns automatically with "keep it", so you do not pay a return label for an 8 euro item.
- Cancellations Confirm customer cancellation requests automatically, so nobody has to wait for you.
- Alerts An email when a return or cancellation comes in, when stock runs low, and a daily summary.
- VAT export Your revenue and VAT per month, plus your Bol.com costs, in one CSV. The revenue comes from the invoices Schakel makes, so that switch has to be on.
- Profit per product What you keep per product after commission, shipping and purchase cost, based on Bol.com's own cost invoices.
Common questions
Does Bol.com allow this?
Bol.com allows contact about the order through the relay address you get with every order. That is exactly what Schakel uses. The rule is: keep the mail about the order, and let the buyer opt out. Schakel does both. What is not allowed is asking for positive reviews only, so the mail does not ask for that.
Do I see the buyer's email address?
No. Bol.com issues a relay address per order and keeps the real address behind it. The mail goes there, and the buyer receives it as normal.
How many mails does a customer get?
One per order. If someone orders three items at once, that is one mail, not three.
What if someone does not want a request?
Every mail has an unsubscribe link. One click and no review request ever goes to that address again, not even on a later order. The opt-out is per connector, so someone opting out with you is not opted out with another seller.
Does Bol.com not already send a review request?
It does, and the Bol.com one still goes out. This one sits alongside it: a personal message from you as the seller, with your shop name on top and your own address as the reply-to. The mail is about the order, as Bol.com requires, and it carries an unsubscribe link. What it says stays your responsibility: under the Bol.com rules you are the sender, so read the text once before you switch it on.
