Alerts
An email when a return or cancellation comes in, when stock runs low, and a daily summary.
To you and your colleague
Flip it back on to see what it does.
You should not have to sit in your seller account all day to know what is going on. But you do want to hear it when something comes back, or when your best seller is nearly out of stock.
Schakel mails you about it. On a return, on a cancellation request, when an item drops below your stock threshold, and the next morning, a summary of the previous day.
You choose which alerts you want and which addresses they go to. Your colleague or your accountant can be on the list.
What it does
- A mail as soon as a return comes in, with the item and the stated reason.
- A mail as soon as a cancellation request comes in.
- A mail when an item drops below your stock threshold. You set the threshold yourself.
- The next morning, a summary of the previous day, with its orders, returns and cancellations.
- Alerts go to your account email address, and to any extra addresses you add.
How to switch it on
Pick the alerts you want
On or off per type. If you do not want a mail on every event, turn on the daily summary alone.
Set your stock threshold
Pick the count at which you want a warning. Allow for how fast you sell and how long your supplier takes.
Add extra recipients
Working with someone, or want your accountant to follow along, add their address.
Also available
Every switch works on the same Bol.com connection. Turn on what you need and leave the rest off.
- VAT invoices An invoice for every order automatically, uploaded to Bol.com when a business buyer asks for one.
- Review requests A friendly request for a review, a week after shipping, once per order.
- Returns Approve small returns automatically with "keep it", so you do not pay a return label for an 8 euro item.
- Cancellations Confirm customer cancellation requests automatically, so nobody has to wait for you.
- VAT export Your revenue and VAT per month, plus your Bol.com costs, in one CSV. The revenue comes from the invoices Schakel makes, so that switch has to be on.
- Profit per product What you keep per product after commission, shipping and purchase cost, based on Bol.com's own cost invoices.
Common questions
Can a colleague or my accountant get them too?
Yes. Alongside your account address you can add as many extra recipients as you like.
Will this not turn into a pile of spam?
You switch on only the types you care about. If you sell a lot, the daily summary alone is often enough, and you leave the individual alerts off.
What is a good stock threshold?
Look at how many of an item you sell per week and how long restocking takes. Set the threshold so new stock arrives before the old runs out.
