Monthly summary
On the first of the month: what you invoiced, what came in and what is still outstanding.
Most business owners know how the month felt and not how it was. That gap is exactly big enough to make wrong decisions on.
On the first of the month you get three numbers about the month before: invoiced, received in the bank, and still outstanding. Three, not thirty, because a report you have to read is a report you do not read.
If you want to know more, you simply ask on in the chat: per project, per customer, or over a different period.
What it does
- Arrives on the first of the month, about the month before.
- Invoiced, received in the bank and still outstanding, in three numbers.
- You can move the day and the hour yourself.
- You can always ask on: revenue per project, per customer or over a different period.
- The numbers come out of your own administration and are not an estimate.
How to switch it on
Turn the monthly summary on
It is on by default, on the first of the month in the morning. If you want another day or another hour, you move it.
Wait for the first
The first summary is about the month that has just ended. If you want to know something now, just ask in the chat.
Also available
Every switch works on the same Moneybird connection. Turn on what you need and leave the rest off.
- The assistant A chat in your Schakel dashboard that handles invoices, quotes, receipts, hours, contacts and questions. Anything that writes shows you first what it is about to do.
- Matching payments to invoices Schakel reads your unprocessed bank transactions and finds the open invoice each one belongs to. Propose the match or book it, you choose.
- The receipt behind a payment Money goes out and no purchase invoice belongs to it. Schakel asks for the receipt, and reminds you once if it does not turn up.
- Invoices that are overdue A message when a due date has passed, with the customer, the amount and the number of days. Chasing is a separate choice.
- Quarterly VAT reminder At the start of a new quarter, a reminder that the return is coming, with the deadline attached.
- Unprocessed bank transactions A nudge while bank transactions are still open, and it stops by itself once the pile is empty.
- WhatsApp as well The same conversation on your phone, both ways. An add-on, not a requirement.
Common questions
Is this a profit and loss statement?
No. It is three numbers about your sales side: invoiced, received and open. Your costs and your profit are in Moneybird itself, and this summary is not meant to replace them.
