Link SnelStart and WooCommerce: your shop orders arrive as a sales entry in SnelStart
If you search for a SnelStart WooCommerce integration, what you really want is for your books to keep up with what your shop sells. Orders go from WooCommerce to SnelStart, not the other way round. What makes it tricky sits on the SnelStart side: you need a connection key, the access token expires after an hour and a sales entry is refused if the VAT on the header does not match the VAT on the lines. In SnelStart you create a connection key for this administration under Koppelingen and Maatwerk. It lets Schakel book, but never sign in. If you do not see that tile, your plan may not include it and you may first have to upgrade in SnelStart.

One sales entry per order
A WooCommerce order becomes a sales entry with a line per product, the customer as a relation and the order number as description. Shipping and discounts get a line of their own, so they do not vanish into product revenue.

VAT on header and lines in agreement
SnelStart expects VAT both on the header of the entry and on each line, and refuses an entry where the two disagree. Schakel computes both from the same lines, so they cannot drift apart.

Refunds as reversing entries
A partial or full refund in WooCommerce arrives as a reversing entry in SnelStart for the amount that was really paid back.

How SnelStart talks: the API in short
The SnelStart B2B API (version 2) is a REST API with, among others, articles, relations, sales entries, ledger accounts and VAT rates. You need three things: a subscription key, your connection key and an access token that expires after an hour. Countries on a relation are stored as an internal reference rather than a country code, and there are no webhooks, so it polls.

Worked example (fictional)
Example: an order with a product of 40.00 excl., shipping of 4.13 excl. and a coupon of 5.00 excl., all 21%, gives 39.13 excl. and 8.22 VAT, so 47.35 incl. The header says 8.22 VAT and the lines together say 8.22 too. The amounts are invented.

Setting it up

Create the connection key in SnelStart
In SnelStart you open the Maatwerk tile under Koppelingen and create a key for this administration. You paste it into Schakel and you can always revoke it in SnelStart again.

Grant read access to WooCommerce
You enter the address of your shop and approve the access in your own WordPress. Schakel gets read rights only. Do not leave permalinks on Standaard, or the REST API will not exist at the address where we look for it.

Set accounts and VAT
From your own SnelStart administration you pick the ledger accounts for revenue, shipping and discounts and the VAT rates that belong with them.

Check and let it run
You review the first entries. After that new orders keep flowing and you see every SnelStart message back in the log.

Does data go from SnelStart to WooCommerce or the other way round?
From WooCommerce to SnelStart. Orders and refunds become entries. Schakel writes nothing back to your shop; stock and products stay in WooCommerce as they are.
I do not see Maatwerk in SnelStart, now what?
The Maatwerk tile is not in every SnelStart plan. Without that tile you cannot create a connection key. Check in your SnelStart subscription whether a higher plan has the tile.
Why is an entry refused with a VAT message?
SnelStart checks the VAT on the header against the VAT on the lines. If the two differ, often through rounding, the entry does not go through. Schakel derives both from the same lines so that does not happen.
What happens when the access token expires?
The token is valid for an hour. Schakel fetches a new token with your connection key before it expires, so you notice nothing. If you revoke the key in SnelStart, the connector stops and Schakel tells you.
What is the difference with the WooCommerce SnelStart page?
No difference in the connector itself: the same flow from shop to books. This page describes it from SnelStart, with the key, the token and the VAT check; the other from the shop.
Can you connect SnelStart to WooCommerce?
Yes. Schakel connects through the official APIs of SnelStart and WooCommerce, so you install nothing on your own server and nothing travels outside those two parties.
What does the connector match products on in WooCommerce?
On EAN barcode or SKU. Those have to line up on both sides; anything that does not match automatically you map once by hand, and it is remembered after that.
