Connect MultiSafepay

MultiSafepay processes a broad row of local payment methods, from iDEAL and Bancontact to pay-later, and settles in bundles where transaction fees are already netted off. What lands in your bank is therefore never equal to your sales. Schakel reads MultiSafepay through the API and books payment, fees, refund and payout each separately, so your reconciliation is right without picking an export apart.

What travels with MultiSafepay

  • Payments

Every successful payment arrives with amount, payment method and order number, linked to the order.

  • Transaction fees

The fee MultiSafepay deducts per transaction is booked separately on its own ledger account.

  • Refunds and chargebacks

A refund or chargeback is processed as a separate entry for the amount actually returned.

  • Payouts

The payout that bundles a run of payments reconciles as a whole against the deposit in your bank.

Why connect MultiSafepay

  • Payouts reconcile with your bank even though fees are netted inside.
  • All of MultiSafepays local payment methods run through the same connection.
  • Fees and chargebacks sit apart, not folded into revenue.
  • No more monthly export-and-work-back session.

How it works

  1. 01

    Connect your MultiSafepay account

In MultiSafepay Control you create an API key under the settings and hand it to Schakel.

  2. 02

    Schakel reads payments and payouts

Payments, refunds and the payout that bundles them are pulled in, along with the per-transaction fees netted inside.

  3. 03

    Everything is booked and reconciles

Revenue, fees and refunds each land on their own account, and the payout matches your bank entry.

MultiSafepay, common questions

Does this line up with my MultiSafepay payouts?

Yes. The individual payments and the payout that bundles them both come across, so the amount in your bank matches what you sold.

Are the transaction fees booked too?

Yes. The fee deducted per transaction lands on its own ledger account, so the reconciliation is right.
