At the end of the quarter you want to know your revenue, the VAT on it and the input VAT you can reclaim. Gathering that from your seller account is an afternoon of work, and one missed cost invoice costs you money.

Schakel lays it out. One row per month with your revenue excluding VAT, the VAT at 21% and at 9%, your revenue at 0%, the revenue reverse charged to EU business buyers, other VAT, total VAT, the input VAT from the commission invoices Bol.com sends you, and the net VAT left under it.

You download it as CSV, with a semicolon separator and a comma as decimal mark. It opens straight in Excel, and your accountant recognises the amounts at once.

Concretely

What it does

  • One row per month, so you can assemble any filing period yourself.
  • Your revenue excluding VAT as a total, alongside the VAT amounts at 21% and 9% and your revenue at 0%.
  • What was reverse charged to business buyers in other EU countries is listed separately.
  • Input VAT from the Bol.com commission invoices.
  • CSV with a semicolon separator and a comma as decimal mark.
Setting it up

How to switch it on

01

Check your VAT rates

The export uses the same rates as your invoices. If the rate per EAN is right, the export is right.

02

Pick your period

You select the months you need. Quarter, year or a single month, you put it together yourself.

03

Download the CSV

Open it yourself, or forward it to your accountant. It holds everything the return needs.

Common questions

Are the Bol.com fees included?

Yes. The VAT on the commission invoices Bol.com sends you appears in the export as input VAT, so you do not forget to reclaim it.

Does Schakel file my return?

No. Schakel supplies the figures, you or your accountant file the return. We never touch your filing.

Why per month and not per quarter?

Months add up to any period you need. Filing monthly, it is already there; filing quarterly, you add three rows.

Can my accountant work with it?

Yes. It is a plain CSV with revenue and VAT per rate per month, exactly the layout an accountant asks for.
