Does the connector prevent duplicate contacts in Pipedrive?

Yes. Contacts are matched by email, so an existing customer in Pipedrive is updated rather than a second one appearing.

Which contact in Pipedrive does the information from Shopify land on?

The contact that matches on email. If it does not exist yet, it is created with the details that come across from Shopify.

What happens on a refund or partial cancellation in Shopify?

It comes across, so Pipedrive matches what was actually settled and you correct nothing by hand.
