Stripe Todoist

Keep Stripe and Todoist updated automatically.

Today you download the Stripe reports and work out which payments, fees and refunds sat in today’s payout. With subscriptions the invoice date does not line up with the payment date either, so your periods never quite match. This connector fixes that, and we build it on request: what happens in Stripe lands in Todoist by itself, in the shape Todoist expects. Tell us what you need and we agree exactly what should travel.

The problem

What this connector takes off your hands

  • Today you download the Stripe reports and work out which payments, fees and refunds sat in today’s payout. With subscriptions the invoice date does not line up with the payment date either, so your periods never quite match.

  • Today you create the task yourself when something needs following up, or you just remember it. The second one fails eventually, usually on exactly the case that mattered.

What you get out of it

What Stripe to Todoist saves you

  • Turn every successful Stripe payment into a Todoist task automatically.
  • Turn every failed Stripe payment into a Todoist task automatically.
  • Turn every Stripe chargeback into a Todoist task automatically.
  • Turn every Stripe payout into a Todoist task automatically.

What travels across the link

Everything this connector moves between Stripe and Todoist, and how often.

  1. Tasks

    to Todoist automatically

This lands in Todoist as a task in the list or project you choose, so follow-up does not depend on someone remembering.

  2. Rows

    to Todoist automatically

This arrives in Todoist as a new row, so your overview stays complete without you retyping anything.

Both sides

What each side expects

Stripe and Todoist do not describe the world the same way. This is what has to line up.

Stripe

Stripe thinks in payments, refunds and payouts, each with its own id. Fees come off per transaction and subscriptions produce their own invoices, separate from when the money actually lands.

Todoist

Todoist wants a project and a task name. Without a due date or a label the task disappears among the rest, so it is worth agreeing up front where tasks land.

Common questions

Can you connect Stripe to Todoist?

Yes. Schakel connects through the official APIs of Stripe and Todoist, so you install nothing on your own server and nothing travels outside those two parties.

Which Todoist project or list do the tasks land in?

The project or list you choose. That keeps everything in one place rather than scattered, and follow-up does not depend on someone remembering.

Can I decide what goes into the Todoist task or row?

Yes. When setting it up you pick which details from Stripe come along, so a task or row in Todoist has just enough context.

Does this line up with my Stripe payouts, not just individual payments?

Both. Individual payments and the payout that bundles them come across, so the amount in your bank later matches what you sold.

What does connecting Stripe and Todoist cost?

You start free and only pay once the connector is really running. After that the same tiers apply as for any other connector, based on how much runs through it each month.

How often does Stripe sync with Todoist?

That depends on your tier: hourly on the free tier up to real time on the unlimited tier. You can always start a sync yourself as well.

Are the Stripe transaction fees included?

Yes. The fees Stripe deducts per transaction are handled separately, so your revenue and your payout no longer drift apart.

What if Stripe or Todoist is briefly unavailable?

Nothing gets lost. Schakel retries later and the log shows exactly what happened, so at most you notice something coming through a little later.
